Red Hat is seeking a Senior Architect to join our team. In this role, you will design and implement cloud-ready applications, containerized workflows, and CI/CD pipelines. You will lead large-scale migration projects, including transitions from monolithic to microservices architectures, ensuring operational improvements and seamless integration.
What You'll Do
- Develop and deploy hybrid and multi-cloud environments, focusing on scalable, production-ready container platforms with enterprise-grade networking, storage, and security.
- Mentor consultants and customers on DevOps, container technologies, and industry best practices while contributing to Communities of Practice (CoPs).
- Conduct presales consultations, propose tailored solutions, and deliver technical presentations, workshops, and training to align with customer goals and Red Hat offerings.
- Provide leadership in automation, DevSecOps pipelines, and the operationalization of container platforms, ensuring high availability and resilience.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences, drive business outcomes, and establish repeatable frameworks for container platform deployments.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
- Eight (8) years of experience with Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, and containerized platforms, including experience migrating monolithic applications to microservices and implementing secure DevSecOps practices at scale.
- Five (5) years of experience designing cloud-ready distributed architectures, hybrid/multi-cloud environments, and integrating cloud networking and storage solutions.
- Five (5) years of experience with automation tools like Ansible, Tekton, and Terraform, and with automated deployment pipelines and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) strategies.
- Five (5) years of experience leading cross-functional teams, mentoring in agile and DevSecOps practices, and acting as a trusted advisor to technical and business executives, including presenting to C-level stakeholders.
- Five (5) years of experience with one or more Networking, Virtualization and cloud technologies and with cloud networking and storage solutions.
- Five (5) years of experience devising methods and tools targeting improved service capabilities, promoting repeatable customer interactions, and lowering implementation risks.
- Five (5) years of experience assessing customer needs, designing technical solutions, developing Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and delivering impactful presentations and workshops for technical adoption and decision-making.
- Five (5) years of experience with Grafana, Loki, and Thanos for observability, and designing high-availability, fault-tolerant systems to ensure operational resilience.
- Five (5) years of experience creating repeatable frameworks for container platform deployments, producing whitepapers and technical materials, and maintaining certifications to drive continuous learning and innovation.
- Five (5) years of experience with presales and solution development, including assessing customer needs, designing technical solutions, and developing Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
- Five (5) years of experience with risk management, including handling escalations, project risks, and creating strategies for issue resolution.
- Five (5) years of experience with documentation and reporting, including creating clear and comprehensive documentation of project plans, solutions, and consulting engagements.
- Five (5) years of experience with product, engineering, support, and sales teams including experience onboarding customers and working with customer Executive, Management, and Implementation paradigms to achieve project goals.
- Five (5) years of experience with standardization practices, including developing frameworks and methodologies for repeatable container platform deployments.
- Five (5) years of experience with Java, Node.js, Python, and related frameworks for application development.
- Domestic travel required up to 10% of the time to client sites and internal conferences.
