Ethos is hiring a Senior Application Engineer, CNC & Sheet Metal

TaxValet is hiring a Senior Application Engineer, CNC & Sheet Metal to provide critical support to our Sales and Engineering teams. You will analyze customer CAD models and technical drawings, assess manufacturability, calculate costs, and deliver DFM feedback to ensure accurate and timely quoting.

What You'll Do

• Analyze drawings and CAD models provided in English.
• Calculate manufacturing costs including materials, machining hours, and post-processing.
• Provide recommendations on optimal manufacturing processes.
• Document and transfer calculations to the Sales and Commercial team.
• Review 3D models and 2D drawings for quoting and manufacturability feedback.
• Organize RFQs and clarify technical details with Sales and Engineering teams.
• Maintain quote databases and ensure timely updates.
• Deliver high-quality, accurate quotes ideally within 1–2 working hours.
• Support process automation initiatives and workflow optimization.

What We're Looking For

• Higher technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or a similar field.
• 8+ years of experience in metalworking or mechanical engineering.
• Expert knowledge of machining and fabrication: turning, milling, CNC machining, EDM, laser/waterjet/plasma cutting, sheet metal processing, and welding.
• Understanding of post-processing: polishing, hardening, heat treatment, anodizing, sand/shot blasting, coatings, and painting.
• Knowledge of different materials (metals, plastics, composites) and their processing properties.
• English proficiency at B2+ level.
• Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to clearly explain technical details.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure.
• IT-enthusiast, ready to adopt modern tools and software.
