About the Role
The Senior Accounting Manager will lead accounting operations, supervise team members, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accuracy in accounting records
- Manage the coordination and execution of external audits
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting systems and procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial data for executive leadership
- Ensure timely filing of statutory and regulatory reports
- Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
- Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Maintain internal controls and support SOX compliance efforts
- Lead the transition to new accounting standards when applicable
- Coordinate with tax team on financial reporting alignment
- Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations
- Ensure proper revenue recognition in line with contractual terms
- Support integration of acquisitions into existing accounting framework
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures
- Respond to audit queries and provide supporting documentation
- Monitor changes in accounting regulations and advise stakeholders
- Facilitate year-end close processes efficiently
- Drive automation initiatives within the accounting function
- Ensure data integrity across financial systems
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and regulators
