Responsibilities
- Records, verifies, and reconciles financial transactions to uphold data accuracy and completeness.
- Prepares and logs entries for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses through analysis of account data.
- Assists in completing accurate and timely closing procedures for monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycles.
- Contributes to strengthening internal control systems to ensure financial reliability and compliance.
- Conducts regular account reconciliations and resolves discrepancies with source documents.
- Evaluates and communicates variances in financial data to support decision-making.
- Collaborates with management, auditors, and tax professionals on reporting and financial analysis.
- Conducts research on accounting standards and practices as required.
- Creates documentation for new accounting procedures and updates existing instructions.
- Handles confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism.
- Reviews the work of junior accountants and supports team development through guidance.
- Provides cross-coverage for team members to ensure continuity in accounting operations.
