Responsibilities
- Generate and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Manage the general ledger with precise recording and classification of financial transactions.
- Reconcile sales data with cash receipts on a monthly basis.
- Align fulfillment records with sales orders to support proper revenue recognition.
- Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations for bank accounts, inventory, and accrued expenses.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP standards, tax laws, and internal accounting policies.
- Provide documentation and reports to support external audits and tax compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Help develop and enforce internal controls and accounting best practices.
- Produce semi-monthly cash burn reports to track financial runway.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Support inventory valuation, cost accounting, and revenue recognition processes.
- Partner with FP&A, operations, and other departments to deliver financial insights for decision-making.
- Operate and enhance ERP and accounting systems, with preference for Netsuite expertise.
- Advance automation projects to streamline accounting workflows and reduce manual effort.
