About the Role
The Senior Accountant will oversee key accounting functions including month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance activities, while ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Identify and implement process improvements in accounting operations
- Assist in the development and documentation of accounting policies
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Oversee tax preparation and compliance activities
- Ensure proper internal controls are in place and functioning
- Track and report on fixed assets and depreciation
- Handle intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Support integration of new acquisitions or systems
- Coordinate with external tax and audit firms
- Respond to financial inquiries from management
- Maintain compliance with SOX controls
- Assist in cash flow reporting and analysis
- Provide guidance to junior accounting staff
- Ensure timely filing of financial reports
- Review contract terms for financial implications
- Support ERP system upgrades and maintenance
- Track and report on deferred revenue and expenses
- Assist with financial due diligence for business initiatives
