Responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues across various locations and engage with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Legal, IT, and Sales Operations, while staying current on US GAAP and SEC updates to ensure compliance in revenue recognition practices.
- Establish and assess internal controls related to the company's revenue recognition processes, including oversight of booking and billing workflows.
- Execute month-end close tasks, including revenue reconciliation and preparing management reports.
- Drive process enhancements and support the rollout of improved revenue reporting systems to increase efficiency and reduce the time required to close revenue.
- Conduct documentation reviews in alignment with ASC 606 accounting standards.
- Develop and deliver training on revenue recognition policies and procedures to teams including Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, Sales Operations, and other departments.
- Analyze customer contracts to verify accurate accounting treatment of subscription revenue.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience applying AI in workflow integration, decision-making, or problem-solving, such as using AI tools, automating processes, interpreting AI-generated insights, or evaluating AI’s impact on accounting functions or the industry.
- Proven background in US GAAP-compliant software revenue recognition under ASC 606.
- Prior experience in Big 4 accounting or within a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment handling revenue accounting.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, capable of working independently and meeting critical deadlines.
- Solid analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
