Amylyx Pharmaceuticals is hiring a Senior Accountant

Amylyx is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our team. You will apply accepted accounting principles to analyze financial information, prepare accurate results, and ensure strong accounting controls. This key member of a cross-functional accounting team will manage critical accounting areas, reconciliations, corporate accruals, and ad hoc reporting, with significant interaction across the business.

What You'll Do

• Assist with the month-end close process to ensure timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting.
• Prepare journal entries for cash, investments, prepaids, SG&A accruals, T&E, stock options, and RSUs.
• Perform foreign currency translation and revaluation, validating exchange rates.
• Oversee the preparation and distribution of monthly financial reports to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure the preparation and review of intercompany journal entries and balances.
• Prepare and oversee balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis for the income statement.
• Lead the preparation and coordination of foreign statutory financial statements and manage related audits.
• Serve as the NetSuite administrator, maintaining accounts, codes, and approval workflows.
• Develop and maintain NetSuite reports to support internal financial and operational needs.
• Administer FloQast, adding users, assigning reconciliations, and maintaining the close checklist.
• Lead user access reviews for NetSuite and FloQast to ensure appropriate permissions.
• Act as the primary support to the Head of Tax and Treasury, providing analysis for tax compliance and statutory reporting.
• Assist with the preparation and review of tax-related disclosures and support the tax filing process.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office products.

Nice to Have

• CPA designation or progress toward obtaining a CPA.
• Experience working in a public company environment or with a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Knowledge of international statutory reporting requirements and foreign currency transactions.

Benefits & Compensation

• Compensation range: $97,000 - $109,000 USD.
