About the Role
This position involves overseeing key accounting functions, preparing financial statements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain strong financial controls and reporting accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
- Manage the general ledger and perform account reconciliations
- Support internal and external audit processes with documentation and responses
- Monitor and record fixed asset transactions
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems
- Coordinate with tax teams to ensure accurate reporting
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes
- Oversee the close process and ensure timely financial reporting
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements
- Collaborate with operations teams to resolve financial discrepancies
- Track and report on lease accounting under current standards
- Provide financial analysis to support business decisions
- Ensure proper documentation for all accounting entries
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Support integration of new acquisitions into financial systems
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff
- Respond to inquiries from auditors and regulators
- Maintain accurate records for deferred rent and lease incentives
- Work with legal teams on contract reviews affecting accounting treatment
- Ensure consistency in revenue recognition practices
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and recommend updates
- Prepare supporting schedules for financial disclosures
- Collaborate with real estate teams on property-level accounting
