About the Role
This position involves managing key accounting functions for Latin American entities, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting within a distributed team structure.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Support timely completion of month-end closing activities
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards
- Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Assist in tax preparation and reporting requirements
- Handle intercompany transactions accurately
- Monitor cash positions and support forecasting
- Implement internal controls to safeguard assets
- Respond to financial inquiries from stakeholders
- Standardize accounting procedures across regions
- Track and report on key financial metrics
- Support system improvements and process automation
Nice to Have
- Certified Public Accountant or equivalent
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP
- Background in technology or SaaS industry
- Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements
- Experience mentoring junior staff
