Burlington Stores seeks a Security Operations Specialist (Asset Protection Specialist) for its Burlington Response and Investigation Center (BRIC). This role is central to our 24/7 security operations, overseeing the store fleet and executing core BRIC functions including event monitoring, information management, and investigative support.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate intake of incident reports from store teams, assess events, and determine appropriate communication and escalation.
- Execute internal and external investigation support and engage in broad investigative initiatives.
- Utilize the Secure 5 exception-based reporting platform to identify shrink-related behaviors and participate in investigations.
- Contribute to external investigation case management, documentation, and follow-up support.
- Vigilantly monitor alarm activity during nighttime hours, respond promptly, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Develop expertise in operating, troubleshooting, and optimizing CCTV systems for effective surveillance.
- Use CCTV systems to remotely audit third-party guard adherence to guidelines.
- Evaluate and execute overnight emergency guard requests, collaborating with field partners to protect assets.
- Support large-scale projects, monitor for safety concerns, and contribute to organizational resilience through security infrastructure oversight.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to navigate and operate multiple software platforms, including exception-based reporting, case management, incident response, and security infrastructure systems (CCTV, alarm monitoring).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical ability with skill in communicating at all levels in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information and manage tasks with a high concern for detail.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as business needs dictate (Nights, Weekends, Holidays).
- Candidates without a degree must demonstrate a high level of expertise and proficiency in the desired skills and abilities.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3+ years of experience preferred (Criminal Justice, Communications, Finance, or Business).
