Responsibilities
- Lead engaging outdoor programs using hiking trails and nearby historical and cultural sites
- Ensure guest safety and positive experience during trail activities, including providing first aid when necessary
- Use training from guest experience and environmental staff to share knowledge of local natural and cultural history
- Submit post-event reports with attendance and enrollment figures
- Help maintain field equipment by documenting issues and repair needs
- Inform guests about membership opportunities and upcoming events
- Support volunteers to enhance their experience and strengthen program delivery

- Employment period runs from April to October
- Position is seasonal and non-exempt
- Weekly hours vary based on program needs
- Must be available to work holidays, evenings, and weekends
- Required to work outdoors in all weather conditions, with safety protocols in place for sudden coastal weather changes
- Capable of lifting and transporting up to 60 pounds
- Willing to operate a pickup truck and utility vehicle when needed
- Mandatory completion of outdoor safety training provided by the organization
- Satisfactory criminal background check (CORI) required
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record per organizational policy
- Must have current authorization to work in the United States by first day
- Personal access to a reliable vehicle is required
