The Trustees of Reservations is hiring a Seasonal Cook

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to strengthen guest connections to local agriculture
  • Use organic ingredients and regionally sourced grains in creating seasonal menu items
  • Prepare dishes following established recipes with consistency
  • Cook, bake, and package food items safely for retail sale
  • Support kitchen operations with food and bakery prep tasks as needed
  • Help prepare for and execute large-scale events on event days
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently in fast-paced environments
  • Adhere to all commercial kitchen standard operating procedures
  • Maintain rigorous sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety standards
  • Provide flexible support to the culinary team across various duties

Requirements

  • Experience in food preparation or baking
  • Strong communication skills for effective team interaction
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively
  • Motivated to complete detailed prep tasks efficiently
  • Passionate about sourcing from local farms and serving the community
  • Skilled in handling multiple projects simultaneously
