The Trustees of Reservations is hiring a Seasonal Camp Educator (Counselor) & Transportation Assistant (Crane Estate)

Responsibilities

  • Operate a 10-passenger van safely along designated routes between Ipswich and nearby towns including Amesbury, Gloucester, and Lawrence.
  • Ensure campers board and exit the vehicle safely, adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Verify and record attendance accurately before each pickup and drop-off.
  • Report delays, absences, or safety issues promptly to Assistant Camp Directors.
  • Keep the transportation vehicle clean, organized, and in good working condition.
  • Report any mechanical problems or safety concerns with the vehicle immediately.
  • Follow all organizational driving policies, safety procedures, and state regulations at all times.
  • For AM shifts: assist with morning transportation and camper arrival before joining camp groups.
  • For PM shifts: support afternoon programming before conducting end-of-day transportation.
  • Assist in leading nature-based activities such as crafts, games, hikes, and beach visits.
  • Help manage camper groups and promote positive behavior and group cohesion.
  • Deliver interactive, experiential learning aligned with environmental education goals.
  • Respond flexibly to changing needs to ensure camper safety and smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain regular communication with camp educators and supervisory staff.

Compensation

$17.00-$19.00/hour (based on experience)
