Responsibilities
- Design and implement web-based applications and command-line utilities to advance cheminformatics and data handling processes for research teams
- Produce clean, scalable, and high-performance code, primarily in Python, and manage deployment via Linux environments
- Work closely with scientific staff to define needs and deliver tailored informatics tools
- Utilize cheminformatics methods to analyze, visualize, and model chemical data
- Assemble and configure web frameworks, databases, and user interfaces as project requirements demand
- Maintain thorough documentation, engage in peer code reviews, and uphold strong software development standards
- Release software with accompanying user guides and offer training or assistance to ensure proper use by scientific personnel
