Virtua Health is hiring a Scheduling Specialist for our Complete Weight Management Call Center. You will schedule inpatient or outpatient procedures, inform patients and physician offices of preparation instructions, and ensure the organized flow of patients through our system. What You'll Do
- Manage the organized flow of patients by accurately inputting surgical procedures, preference cards, and orders.
- Act as the key departmental contact for coordinating the admission process and scheduling surgical procedures.
- Alert facilitators to current or potential problems and assist in their resolution.
- Handle a high volume of incoming and outgoing communication while providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain medical records and stat reports, enter data into multiple databases, and run reports as required.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Assist in orienting new staff on scheduling and data collection processes.
- Assist with unit coverage as needed.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous medical clerical experience.
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Computer user proficiency, specifically data entry.
- Clear communication skills.
- Professional phone demeanor.
