Ryerson is hiring a Saw Operator to join our team. As a Warehouse Operator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day staging, packing, and picking of material for shipments using proper equipment. This is a 1st shift position, Monday - Friday from 7am - 3pm, within our dynamic, quality-focused environment committed to excellence and best-in-class customer service.
What You'll Do
- Pick and stage feedstock for fulfillment orders
- Break down bulk bundles for customer-specific orders
- Package material to customer requirements
- Operate a sit-down or side loader forklift to move material as needed
- Properly complete paperwork and SAP work order confirmation for shipping and receiving on the computer
- Maintain maximum productivity for finished goods creation
- Perform all other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Successfully pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Regular attendance
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer
- Physical ability to pass a physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility
- Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding and new hire training
