About the Role
The role involves configuring and maintaining SAP SD modules with a focus on EDI integration for seamless order processing and logistics operations. The consultant will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
Responsibilities
- Configure and support SAP Sales and Distribution modules for order-to-cash processes
- Implement and maintain EDI interfaces between SAP and external trading partners
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in EDI document flows such as invoices and purchase orders
- Collaborate with logistics and sales teams to align system functionality with business needs
- Ensure accurate data exchange between internal systems and external entities
- Support end-to-end order processing within the SAP environment
- Participate in testing and validation of SAP SD and EDI changes
- Document technical configurations and integration workflows
- Assist in system upgrades and version migrations affecting SD and EDI components
- Provide expertise during incident management and root cause analysis
- Work with external vendors on EDI compliance and connectivity standards
- Maintain knowledge of SAP best practices for SD and EDI integration
- Support user training and documentation for new or updated processes
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for EDI reliability
