About the Role
The SAP MM Lead/Architect will be responsible for leading the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP MM modules, providing technical and functional expertise, and ensuring integration with other SAP components and business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and configuration of SAP MM modules across the enterprise
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business requirements
- Develop integration plans between MM and other SAP modules
- Provide architectural guidance for system enhancements and custom developments
- Ensure compliance with master data governance standards
- Support end-to-end procurement process design within SAP
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex MM-related system issues
- Lead testing efforts including unit, integration, and user acceptance phases
- Document system configurations, workflows, and technical specifications
- Mentor junior team members and provide functional guidance
- Evaluate and recommend process improvements using SAP functionality
- Coordinate with external vendors and implementation partners
- Support data migration and conversion activities for MM data
- Ensure alignment with security and authorization frameworks
- Participate in system upgrades and technical refresh initiatives
- Develop training materials and conduct knowledge transfer sessions
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of system changes and designs
- Assist in defining KPIs and reporting requirements for MM processes
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables
- Act as a primary point of contact for MM-related inquiries
