About the Role
The consultant will manage SAP system operations, perform technical administration, and ensure stable system performance across various environments while collaborating with teams in German-speaking regions.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain SAP landscapes including development, testing, and production systems
- Perform system installations, upgrades, and patches for SAP environments
- Monitor system performance and implement tuning measures
- Manage user access and authorizations within SAP systems
- Support transport management and change control processes
- Troubleshoot technical issues across operating systems and databases
- Ensure system availability and reliability through proactive monitoring
- Implement and maintain SAP security standards
- Carry out backup and recovery procedures for SAP systems
- Support interface and integration between SAP and non-SAP systems
- Configure and manage SAP Solution Manager
- Perform system copies and client refreshes
- Support high availability and disaster recovery setups
- Collaborate with development and functional teams on technical solutions
- Document system configurations and operational procedures
- Work closely with infrastructure teams on system requirements
- Support cloud-based SAP deployments and hybrid landscapes
- Manage operating system and database coordination for SAP systems
- Ensure compliance with ITIL and change management practices
- Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotations when needed
