As a Sales Representative, you will lead enterprise sales efforts across Maryland and Washington, DC, working directly with district leaders to understand their goals and support effective curriculum adoption. Your work will directly impact how schools deliver instruction, ensuring educators have the tools they need to drive student achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete sales cycle—from initial outreach to contract execution—for school districts and educational agencies.
- Design and implement a strategic plan for your territory to grow new business, renew existing accounts, and expand service offerings.
- Use data to forecast performance, track progress, and refine your approach in coordination with sales leadership.
- Monitor and manage your territory budget to align with organizational objectives.
- Stay informed about local education policies, district priorities, and competitive dynamics to position solutions effectively.
- Maintain a strong, visible presence through regular in-person visits, regional events, and ongoing stakeholder engagement.
- Respond promptly to inbound and outbound leads, guiding prospects through discovery and evaluation stages.
- Deliver persuasive presentations and support pilot programs for key accounts.
- Collaborate with Pre-Sales and Success Teams to align strategy and ensure smooth transitions from sale to implementation.
- Provide insights to senior leadership based on field experience and district feedback.
- Support ongoing district relationships by connecting them with implementation resources and follow-up support.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of sales experience, preferably in educational services or curriculum solutions, with a history of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Familiarity with K–12 curriculum, teaching practices, and district decision-making structures.
- Proven ability to build and manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to support customer onboarding and long-term success.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Marketing, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
Work Environment
This is a remote role requiring residency within Maryland or Washington, DC. Up to 80% travel is expected, including local driving and occasional domestic flights. The role involves periodic lifting and handling of materials up to 40 pounds. Candidates must be able to pass a background check and provide documentation of COVID-19 vaccination status.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $81,000 to $86,000. Actual offers may vary based on experience, skills, and internal equity. Additional incentives and benefits are available beyond base pay.
