MMGY Global is seeking a Sales & Marketing Senior Account Manager (f/m/d) to drive outbound travel from the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) to the United States. The role involves developing and executing strategic sales and trade marketing initiatives to increase destination awareness, strengthen trade relationships, and achieve measurable sales growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop deep market expertise in the DACH outbound travel sector
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tour operators, travel agents, airlines and industry associations
- Design and execute strategic trade activation plans and co-operative marketing campaigns
- Negotiate partnership agreements aligned to KPIs and performance targets
- Represent the destination at trade fairs, workshops, sales missions and industry events
- Analyse market trends and consumer insights to identify long-haul growth opportunities
- Monitor and report on campaign effectiveness and trade performance
- Manage budgets responsibly and efficiently
- Lead and mentor junior team members
- Collaborate with PR, digital and consumer marketing teams to ensure integrated campaign delivery
Requirements
- Degree in Tourism, Marketing, Business or similar
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in tourism, destination marketing or international representation
- Strong knowledge of the DACH outbound travel market
- Established travel trade network in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
- Proven track record managing marketing budgets and partnerships
- Strong analytical, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
