About the Role

nVent is hiring a Sales Manager for its Data Solutions business to act as a key subject matter expert and drive sales growth. In this role, you will focus on short-cycle sales execution, directly engaging with end users and partners to close opportunities and achieve our goals.

What You'll Do

  • Drive short-cycle sales of racks, RDHX, and iPDUs, targeting HDLC-ready sites.
  • Engage directly with end users, MTDCs, and partners to close active opportunities.
  • Leverage HVAC or MEP channel background to access contractor-led deployments.
  • Handle quotes, pricing, and orders with a focus on volume-driven execution.
  • Collaborate with BDMs and FAEs to address technical requirements.
  • Work with the Sales Leader to develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals.
  • Focus on selling to hyperscale customers building out of the China region or local data centers.
  • Analyze market trends and competitors to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Provide market-specific intelligence and feedback on products and services to management.
  • Keep superiors advised about significant developments, situations, and decisions requiring approval.
  • Ensure Salesforce (SFDC) is consistently updated with accurate customer data, sales activities, and pipeline status.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop client solutions.

Nice to Have

  • University Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ideally 8+ years of experience in Data Solutions, preferably in a commercial position.
  • Experience in cooling solutions, cabling, or power distribution for Data Solutions.

Team & Environment

You will collaborate closely with BDMs, FAEs, the Sales Leader, and cross-functional teams, reporting directly to the Sales Leader.

This is a global position.
