The University of British Columbia (UBC) is looking for a Sales Manager to drive company growth and brand recognition across the UK and USA markets. In this role, you'll manage and expand a portfolio of key clients, identify new business opportunities, and lead the full sales cycle, reporting directly to the Commercial Director.
What You'll Do
- Drive company growth and brand recognition across UK and USA markets.
- Develop and execute business strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Gain and maintain comprehensive understanding of company products, solutions, and services.
- Manage and expand existing portfolio of key clients.
- Identify new business opportunities, leading full sales cycle from prospecting to closure.
- Negotiate agreements with clients to secure favorable terms.
- Convert leads and opportunities into new business.
- Proactively engage with potential and current clients through meetings, calls, and presentations.
- Analyze client needs and market dynamics to tailor solutions.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities in UK/USA.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, finance, product, operations) to finalize contracts.
- Represent company at trade shows, industry events, and conferences.
- Provide regular reporting on sales performance, pipeline, and client portfolio health.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5+ years progressive sales/business development experience within the iGaming industry.
- Strong track record of driving revenue growth.
- Demonstrated success and deep experience in UK and USA markets.
- Established network of industry contacts in target markets.
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Thorough understanding of sales, marketing, and deal negotiation techniques.
- Ability to structure and close complex agreements.
- Skilled in managing and expanding client portfolios.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently for client meetings and events.
- Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, resilient, and proactive.
- Strong team player able to work effectively across departments.
