About the Role
The Sales Intake Specialist is responsible for managing incoming sales inquiries, assessing lead quality, and routing opportunities to the appropriate sales personnel. This position ensures a smooth transition from initial contact to sales engagement through consistent follow-up and data accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming sales leads from multiple channels promptly
- Evaluate lead qualifications using established criteria
- Enter and update lead information in the CRM system
- Conduct initial outreach to potential clients
- Schedule introductory meetings for sales representatives
- Maintain accurate records of all lead interactions
- Identify client needs during initial conversations
- Escalate high-priority leads according to protocol
- Follow up on unresponsive leads within defined timelines
- Coordinate with marketing to improve lead quality
- Report on intake metrics and conversion rates
- Adhere to data privacy and compliance standards
- Respond to client inquiries within service level agreements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings
- Support the development of intake workflows
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions
- Track lead sources for performance analysis
- Communicate lead status updates to sales staff
- Handle client information with confidentiality
- Meet performance benchmarks for response times
- Assist in refining lead qualification guidelines
- Use communication tools to contact prospects
- Work cross-functionally with customer service when needed
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Stay aligned with sales team goals and targets
Nice to Have
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Two or more years in sales operations or intake coordination
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
- Background in marketing services or B2B sales
- Certification in customer service or sales support
- Bilingual communication abilities
- Knowledge of lead scoring models
- Prior exposure to marketing automation tools
