Responsibilities
- Overseeing and maintaining the relationship with the account to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues that arise
- Developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue
- Preparing regular sales reports and forecasts to track performance and inform strategic decisions
- Providing exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving concerns
- Managing the relationship with the customer in a manner that makes Buckman attractive and prevents attrition
- Conducting business reviews
- Preparing service reports on customer-requested subjects and frequency
- Engaging in customer entertainment such as lunch, dinner, and team-building exercises
- Providing savings projects to customers
- Responding to service calls as needed
- Data mining for issues as requested
- Bringing savings projects to the customer to help improve their process (target: >10% of sales each year)
- Proposing chemical and/or digital solutions to lower customers’ costs
- Identifying process changes and assisting customers with implementation
- Optimizing applications or process variables/controls
- Reaching annual sales targets by increasing volumes or obtaining new applications
- Commercializing new applications
- Increasing volumes of existing applications to improve customer performance
- Working with sales manager to identify target applications
- Servicing the account in a manner that keeps the customer happy
- Writing service reports
- Conducting application testing and monitoring
- Holding business reviews with customer
- Performing process and application troubleshooting
- Responding to service calls
- Maintaining equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
- 5+ years related experience and/or training
Nice to Have
- Degree in Pulp, Paper, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology preferred
- Specific training in pulp/paper science or packaging desired
- Demonstrated understanding of business/finance terminology desirable
