Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the assigned territory
- Collaborate with clients to understand technical requirements
- Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations
- Develop quotes and proposals for engineering solutions
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams to customize offerings
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline data
- Support post-sale implementation and troubleshooting
- Attend industry events and trade shows as representative
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Manage customer contracts and renewal cycles
- Provide feedback to product teams based on field insights
- Work closely with operations for timely project delivery
- Resolve technical objections during sales process
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications
- Travel regularly within the Ohio Valley region
- Build long-term relationships with key decision makers
- Track customer interactions using CRM tools
- Support marketing initiatives with field data
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets
- Ensure alignment between sales promises and technical feasibility
- Escalate complex technical issues appropriately
- Maintain professional conduct during client engagements
- Adapt communication style for technical and non-technical audiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field
- Minimum of three years in technical sales or applications engineering
- Proven experience in industrial or B2B sales environments
- Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical systems
- Familiarity with measurement or control instrumentation
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to travel frequently within the region
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving aptitude with customer-centric mindset
- Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of regional industrial markets
- Track record of meeting sales goals
- Ability to explain complex systems clearly
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications
