Funnel Leasing is hiring a Sales Engineer who will be a key technical partner in our sales process. You will develop a deep understanding of our software stack and leverage that knowledge to articulate value, deliver compelling demonstrations, and guide prospective customers from initial discovery through to implementation planning.
What You'll Do
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to deliver presentations that articulate the value of Funnel’s product suite.
- Develop a deep technical understanding of Funnel’s software stack and leverage this knowledge throughout the sales cycle.
- Lead engaging product demonstrations for audiences ranging from C-Suite executives to technical stakeholders.
- Act as a subject matter expert to answer highly technical questions from prospects.
- Help guide prospects from the sales discovery phase to creating an implementation playbook recommendation.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide sales support before and during calls.
- Deliver sales presentations that articulate Funnel’s capabilities and value propositions.
- Lead detailed and technical product demos customized for each client and opportunity.
- Contribute to success planning for new clients post-sale and ensure a seamless transition to solutions and implementation teams.
- Respond to and spearhead customer requests for proposals and RFIs.
- Set clear expectations and success criteria during the sales process.
- Support Business Reviews (QBRs) post-implementation.
- Use discretion and independent judgment when solving technical issues and finding ways to improve.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer feedback and adjust demo strategies.
- Liaise with product development and marketing teams to stay updated on new features and product positioning.
- Stay well informed with product and engineering on roadmap developments.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
- Travel up to 20% of the time.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing sales or solutions engineering role.
- 4+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience.
- Outstanding presenting skills to both technical and executive audiences.
- Ability to understand complex product features quickly and articulate how they can create value for customers.
- Commitment to high standards, data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and executive presentation skills.
- Track record of exceeding customer expectations.
- Experience working with engineering and product teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the property management / PropTech sector.
- Prior startup experience.
