Digital.ai is hiring a Sales Engineer

Serve as a technical authority for an AI-driven software delivery platform, with emphasis on the Testing product suite.. Lead technical sales initiatives including product demonstrations, proof-of-concept projects, and technical discovery sessions.. Collaborate with enterprise clients in industries such as Financial Services, Airlines, Healthcare, and Telecom to address software testing challenges.. Work closely with sales teams to position solutions that align technical features with customer business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert on AI testing products, supporting multiple industry sectors including finance, aviation, healthcare, and telecommunications.
  • Lead technical sales engineering efforts such as solution positioning, virtual and in-person demos, technical qualification, campaign support, and customer relationship management.
  • Provide internal and external guidance on testing best practices, device management, and mobile application development, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the full technology portfolio and competitive landscape.
  • Focus on the technical success of prospects, customers, and partners throughout the sales cycle.
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions to assess current testing methods, identify pain points, and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Support clients through technical evaluations and proof-of-concept engagements to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with account executives and business development representatives as part of a unified sales team.
  • Be available for occasional domestic travel despite primarily being an inside role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in sales engineering or a similar technical customer-facing role with a proven record of enterprise deal success.
  • Minimum of 3 years in customer-facing positions, ideally within mobile testing.
  • Experience conducting hands-on technical engagements such as proof-of-concepts, workshops, and light-touch support based on client needs.
  • Skilled in delivering compelling, story-driven product demonstrations while uncovering customer needs through strategic questioning.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle phases and the role of testing within them.
  • Strong understanding of various testing methodologies, including functional, performance, and accessibility testing.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language, with preference for Java, and capable of hands-on coding to advance sales opportunities.
  • Deep knowledge of differences between development and testing for mobile and web applications.
  • Experienced with mobile testing frameworks such as Espresso and XCUITest.
  • Some experience with application security and ethical hacking to support integrated security and testing solutions.
  • Familiar with integrated development environments including IntelliJ, Visual Studio, Android Studio, XCode, Eclipse, and PyCharm.
  • Understands how to integrate testing into modern DevOps pipelines.
  • Experience managing RFPs and technical proof-of-value projects using tools like Monday.com.
  • Knowledge of sales processes and methodologies, with a preference for Command of the Message.
  • Self-driven with strong time management and prioritization skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working within or alongside development or QA teams.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing tools.
  • Background in observability and test analytics.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles.
  • Experience using low-code or no-code test automation platforms.
