The Senior Manual QA Engineer will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of digital solutions, including native mobile applications and web platforms. This role works closely with developers, designers, and project managers within agile teams to deliver seamless user experiences for well-known Australian clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop, run, and maintain manual test strategies and test cases for mobile and web applications
- Carry out functional, regression, exploratory, and user interface testing on iOS, Android, and web platforms
- Perform testing across various devices and browsers using BrowserStack
- Evaluate mobile application builds using Xcode, Android Studio, TestFlight, and Google Play Internal Testing
- Inspect and validate API behavior by analyzing network traffic with Charles Proxy, Proxyman, and Postman
- Log, manage, and verify software defects in Jira, ensuring issues are resolved before release
- Work directly with clients and delivery teams to confirm requirements and acceptance standards
- Promote quality assurance practices early in the development lifecycle
- Help improve QA processes and methodologies over time
- Utilize automation tools like Appium or Selenium when beneficial to enhance testing efficiency
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of hands-on manual QA experience with mobile and digital products
- Proven experience testing native iOS and Android applications
- Solid knowledge of agile QA methods and software release cycles
- Proficient with Jira and modern quality assurance tools
- Able to collaborate directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams
Nice to Have
- Experience guiding or mentoring other QA engineers and shaping quality practices is highly valued
