Exostar is hiring a Sales Engineer to partner with our Sales team, helping customers understand the full potential of our SaaS platform. You will interpret customer needs, articulate the business value of our solutions, and leverage your technical expertise to address complex challenges.
What You'll Do
- Partner closely with the Sales team to help customers understand the full potential of the Exostar Platform.
- Deliver compelling proof-of-concepts (POCs).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Services, Operations, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure successful outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of pre-sales engineering, solutions engineering, or related experience.
- Experience in other customer-facing roles such as Services, Support, or Customer Success.
- Ability to whiteboard solutions quickly and explain them to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Expertise in authentication protocols such as SAML, WS-Federation, and OIDC to design and implement tailored solutions.
- Navigate and apply government and industry compliance standards — including ITAR, NIST 800-171, and CMMC.
- Understanding of core security concerns within a typical application and in SAAS applications and their hosting (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, XSRF).
- Writing sample and demonstration examples will be required.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field — or 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Proven team player with a strong commitment to customer success.
- Highly detail-oriented, adaptable, and deadline-driven.
- Skilled in creating technical documentation and conducting in-depth analysis.
- Experienced in developing product demonstrations and leading Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives.
- Familiar with SaaS and Cloud-based services.
- Collaborative mindset with a passion for creative problem-solving.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to challenges and opportunities.
