TAG Software Group is hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing sales team. This remote role focuses on qualifying inbound leads, sourcing outbound prospects, and re-engaging existing contacts to generate meetings and sales opportunities within government and regulated sectors.
What You'll Do
- Research and identify potential clients within government sectors at Federal, Provincial/State, and Municipal levels across North America.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads through market research, cold outreach, and email campaigns.
- Initiate contact with prospects, assess their needs, and schedule introductory meetings.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute targeted strategies to convert leads into customers.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and procurement practices relevant to vertical market software.
- Share customer feedback and market insights with the product team to inform development.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions in the CRM system.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of sales experience with a track record of exceeding targets.
- Solid grasp of the sales cycle and experience in software sales, particularly within government or regulated industries.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
- Self-driven and goal-oriented, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Strong skills in research, lead generation, and proficiency with CRM platforms and sales enablement tools.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Bonus if you have worked within public procurement.
