Mercury Insurance Services, LLC is hiring a Sales Analyst II to help advance analytics related to agency compensation and incentive programs. In this role, you will work alongside the broader sales analytics team on efforts including sales planning, territory management, and business performance analytics, engaging with sales and product management to develop valuable analytics offerings.
What You'll Do
- Support a consultative practice and strategy for Sales Analytics at Mercury.
- Work with the Sr. Manager of Sales Analytics to assist the long-term and short-term vision and strategy.
- Deliver strong data integrity and accuracy across all work efforts.
- Adhere to a strong QA practice and follow controls.
- Assist in developing analytics solutions and delivering business insights for topics like compensation management, sales planning, and agency analytics.
- Collaborate to support the evolution and scenario testing of new compensation models, including commissions, bonuses, and incentives.
- Contribute to developing complex models and A/B testing, partnering with the data science team.
- Establish bespoke analytics for evolving distribution models like comparative raters and API integrations.
- Connect with the analytics team and internal business partners to foster a collaborative environment.
- Assist in thought leadership around how analytics can support broader sales strategies.
- Identify business recommendations based on analytical insights.
- Work closely with data science, IT, sales leadership, and product management to understand needs and deliver solutions.
- Build strong working relationships with Sales, Data Science, IT, and the Salesforce team.
- Manage project queue and adapt to changing priorities.
- Communicate project status and execute on deliverables.
- Demonstrate interest in continuous learning of insurance.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years experience in sales analytics, product management, or related P&C insurance analytics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with P&C analytics and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Foundational understanding of P&C concepts, sales, and underwriting.
- Strong analytics acumen.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
- Strong data management skills and SQL experience.
- Experience with data visualization packages like PowerBI and Tableau, with the ability to build dashboards and deliver insights.
- Experience with A/B testing.
- Experience working with CBA, forecasting, and other scenario testing models for P&C insurance.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a P&C analytics role; experience working with sales or underwriting is preferred.
