Lamar Advertising Company is hiring a Sales Account Executive to help bring innovative outdoor advertising campaigns to life for brands in Des Moines, IA and surrounding areas. This role is the connection between Lamar and the communities we serve, meeting and exceeding sales objectives in an assigned territory.
What You'll Do
- Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data.
- Target businesses in your assigned area and visit established Lamar clients and competitor's clients.
- Exhibit working knowledge of local and national competition.
- Cluster accounts to work them efficiently and identify potential growth areas.
- Open new accounts and use Lamar computer tools to locate prospects and follow up on leads.
- Prepare proposals, written presentations, and research.
- Develop presentation skills and present to clients regularly.
- Develop new product knowledge and selling skills.
- Actively participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows.
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans a month in advance.
- Follow up on all client production orders and problem-solve any issues.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of clients and sales activity.
What We're Looking For
- Current and Valid Driver’s License.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to Have
- College Degree.
- Previous Outdoor Advertising sales experience.
- CRM experience.

- Compensation: Salary + commission with first-year earning potential of $60,000 - $100,000 and no commission cap.
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with paid holidays.
