Ameresco is hiring a Safety Administrator specializing in document control to support our Federal Division. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and submitting safety plans for federal projects, ensuring compliance with rigorous standards and providing audit-ready documentation.
What You'll Do
- Assist in drafting, updating, and standardizing safety plans across federal projects.
- Manage version control, track revisions, and maintain centralized, accessible records.
- Align documentation with OSHA, NAVFAC, and federal requirements before submission.
- Validate formatting, compliance language, and attachments prior to manager sign-off.
- Track submission timelines and proactively ensure audit-ready documentation well ahead of project approvals.
- Organize and distribute updated training materials, ensuring accessibility for diverse teams.
- Maintain audit-ready binders and coordinate with safety managers for external reviews.
- Perform other duties as required.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of construction experience.
- Ability to review confidential US security information.
Nice to Have
- Experience in federal contracting or O&M environments.
- Knowledge of Army Corps of Engineers QC and safety standards.
- Strong document management skills.
- Experience with construction and safety management tools such as Procore and EHS software (e.g., Vector EHS).
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple document streams simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise between safety managers, operations, and federal stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (including workflow automation), SharePoint, and related document management platforms.
