HRL Laboratories is hiring a SAAS Sales Director in Chicago to lead a sales team focused on organically growing our digital skills-based training business. You will be responsible for creating revenue-generating opportunities, managing the full sales process, and increasing market share by developing and facilitating the lead-to-contract process.
What You'll Do
- Lead sales teams to achieve team goals, increase engagement, and coordinate with operations.
- Evaluate market conditions, prepare sales plans, and develop cost-effective business strategies.
- Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with peers and other departments.
- Engage with customers to develop relationships and present solutions via online meetings.
- Suggest and implement improvements in the sales process.
- Understand client needs and requirements to present effective value propositions.
- Report and monitor sales metrics for continuous improvement and prepare regular sales forecasts.
- Partner with Operations and Marketing to identify key strategic initiatives to drive growth.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Account Executives to achieve revenue targets.
- Develop a key understanding of growth in new accounts to inform our land-and-expand strategy.
- Set, track, and meet sales targets for your team.
- Coach, train, and mentor Account Executives to improve engagement and professional development.
- Lead forecasting processes to deliver consistent, scalable growth.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of leading a high-performing sales team in a service-based or Software-as-a-Service industry.
- Ability to provide accurate sales forecasts and relevant reporting based on realistic timelines.
- Experience in a consultative, value-based sales methodology.
- Ability to penetrate and sell to executive-level decision-makers.
- Ability to work proactively and act independently with little supervision.
- Must always display professional and ethical conduct.
- A competitive nature with a need to succeed, comfortable working in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft products.
