Allegheny Health Network is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Professional Development Program (PDP) Team to join our ICU team at Allegheny General Hospital. This casual, 8-hour per pay period position is responsible and accountable for a designated patient population, providing care based on the nursing process. You will float to multiple areas within your assigned team based on your clinical skill level.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrate advanced clinical assessment and care planning skills.
- Provide safe, effective, and age-appropriate care according to regulatory requirements.
- Professionally direct and manage the activities of patient care delivery by team members.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on patient plans of care from admission through discharge.
- Assess learning needs of patients and families, providing education tailored to age, culture, and willingness to learn.
- Mentor and precept fellow nurses.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of acute care nursing experience required in an ICU setting.
- Current State of Pennsylvania RN licensure OR a current multi-state license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Work Mode
This position is fully onsite at Allegheny General Hospital.
