Allegheny Health Network is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the 4NW Telemetry Unit at St. Vincent Hospital. In this full-time role, you will be fully responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and implementing care, and evaluating outcomes, accountable for delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing. What You'll Do
- Provide leadership within a professional practice setting.
- Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill level.
- Promote patient safety initiatives such as National Patient Safety Goals.
- Participate in department-specific quality initiatives and peer review.
- Supervise, delegate to, and evaluate assigned LPNs within their scope of practice.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, evaluate, and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Assess and document changes in patient condition, notify physicians, and intervene appropriately.
- Accept assignments outside your primary unit and perform duties within your competency.
- Promote the advancement of the profession through participation in learning activities and professional organizations.
- Continuously evaluate patient and family satisfaction and resolve concerns.
- Utilize effective time management to complete duties within your shift.
What We're Looking For
- Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- CPR certification.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Nice to Have
- Certification in your area of specialty.
