IDEXX is looking for a Histology Lab Assistant (Evenings) to join our team. In this role, you will perform tasks vital to the operation of our histology laboratories, supporting technicians and pathologists. You'll help prepare tissue samples, maintain scanners, and assure digital slide quality to help pet owners, ensure safe water, and protect livestock worldwide.

What You'll Do

Input sample information into the laboratory database.
Stock benches with necessary materials for technicians.
Run special equipment to prepare samples for histology technicians and technologists.
Pack samples for storage.
Assure accurate and timely delivery of casework to remote pathologists.
Maintain and troubleshoot virtual microscopy (VM) systems for remote viewing and digital slide analysis.
Organize and archive pending and completed VM cases.
Track VM system errors.
Troubleshoot VM system problems with pathologists, labs, vendors, IT, and others.
Assist with various administrative tasks and other duties as required.

Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

Able to effectively demonstrate project administration and task management skills.
Able to meet physical requirements: standing and sitting for extended periods, phone and computer use, extended reach, lifting up to 50lb, and specific vision abilities.
Reliable and dependable attendance.

Prior experience working in a histology lab.

Hourly rate targeting: $21.00/hr.
