About the Role
The technician will support the assembly, integration, and testing of radio frequency hardware used in electronic warfare systems, ensuring functionality and reliability through hands-on technical work.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and test RF components and subsystems for electronic warfare platforms
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting of RF circuits and signal paths
- Conduct bench-level testing of hardware prototypes using standard lab equipment
- Document test results and maintain build records
- Support integration of RF systems into larger platform assemblies
- Follow engineering drawings and work instructions accurately
- Identify and report hardware defects during testing phases
- Assist engineers with prototype modifications and rework
- Use spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes for diagnostics
- Ensure compliance with ESD and safety protocols
- Support environmental testing of hardware under varied conditions
- Participate in design-for-testability feedback loops
- Handle sensitive hardware with proper security and handling procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on rapid iteration cycles
- Support fielded system diagnostics when required
- Assist in qualification testing for production readiness
- Follow configuration management practices for hardware builds
- Work with shielding and antenna integration techniques
- Support lab calibration and equipment maintenance
- Adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic development environment
- Assist in creating test plans and procedures
- Provide input on manufacturability and test efficiency
- Interface with design teams to communicate build challenges
- Support root cause analysis for hardware failures
