Boehringer Ingelheim is hiring a Revenue Management – Retail Deal Desk professional. In this role, you will maximize and protect the value of our assets by providing strategic consultation on revenue management through contract terms and facilitating approvals for our largest customer relationships. You will ensure compliant revenue actions, optimize product positioning, and support the development of Value Based Contracts.
What You'll Do
- Support the retail commercial business across species.
- Support Price Structure Strategies by deploying analytics that inform List Price, Minimum Advertised Price (MAP), and Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP).
- Support and influence pricing decisions and strategies (List, MSRP, MAP) across the organization.
- Consult on price and value communication strategies with senior marketing members and brand managers.
- Own the development and influence retail contract analysis through reconciling disparate data sets and creating solution-oriented approaches.
- Review complex contracting language, crafting executable retail trade terms from approved business cases and customer negotiations.
- Support global teams to define leading practices for Retail Contract Support and program effectiveness.
- Play a key role in contract decision meetings with leadership, facilitating analysis of strategic and tactical account discussions.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to develop a pre-season planning strategy.
- Own the development and execution of “Best Practices” within the company by working with external partners and attending workshops.
- Perform all Company business in accordance with all regulations and Company policies and procedures.
- Deploy Advanced Pricing Analytics to the company’s pricing strategy by conducting analysis to identify customer value drivers.
- Provide subject matter expertise in advanced analytics around pricing and behavioral economics for contract and retail promotion design.
- Work closely with global teams to define leading practices for pricing and promotional returns and analytics.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Behavioral Science, or a related field.
- At least ten (10) years’ experience in the field of study.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas, facts, and technical information clearly and concisely to senior management and other internal customers both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to work with other disciplines.
- Models willingness to learn and stay up to date.
- Ability to train user groups and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and coordinate efforts with colleagues from several functional areas.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- History of successful performance in previous roles, indicating a top performer.
- Ability and willingness to travel (may include overnight travel).
- High level of understanding of the Legal Environment, Risk, Competitors, and the National/Regional/Local Markets for the assignment Commercial business areas.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Nice to Have

- Prior retail pricing and deal negotiation experience (Animal Health Retail experience not necessary).
- Management consulting experience.
- Contract writing and negotiation experience.
- Legal background or expertise.
- Behavioral Economics background.
