About the Role

General Motors is seeking a Revenue Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will analyze and report on subscription revenue and performance for the U.S. and Canada markets. You will build and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, perform advanced financial analysis, and manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.

What You'll Do

  • Gather subscriber and revenue data from billing systems to analyze, track, and report actual subscription revenue and performance in the U.S. and Canada based on KPIs like factory activations, retention, and churn.
  • Consolidate revenue-related KPIs for month-end performance and build a consolidated Excel spreadsheet model to forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenues for new and preowned vehicle retail subscriptions.
  • Review and analyze revenue accounting in finance systems to report and explain revenue trends and their impact on the Profit and Loss (P&L) Financial Statement.
  • Perform advanced financial analysis of large quantitative data sets to compare actual vs. forecasted revenues based on products, customer billing types, GM brands, and other market factors.
  • Maintain, update, and continuously improve financial forecasting revenue model worksheets for efficient reporting.
  • Build cross-functional relationships with business partners to share information, align forecasts, understand KPIs, and set forecast/budget goals.
  • Prepare revenue projections and load all retail subscription revenue lines of business forecast information into the Finance report consolidation system.
  • Execute special projects and ad-hoc requests, including business cases for new products and downturn analyses.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and Long-Term Planning (LTP) & reporting of revenue.
  • Maintain strong business partner relationships to facilitate communication and coordinate strategic initiatives.
  • Work towards achieving revenue targets and keep leadership informed on results monthly.
  • Maintain strong controls and desk procedures for all recurring processes.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • 7 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Revenue & Pricing Analyst, Pricing Supervisor, Financial Planning & Analysis Supervisor, or a related role.
  • 5 years of experience consolidating and tracking revenue-related KPIs, including factory activations, attach rates, and churn.
  • 3 years of experience: Working with Excel to create and build complex financial models for forecasting monthly, quarterly, and annual revenues.
  • 3 years of experience: Applying revenue accounting principles, including deferred revenue recognition, and analyzing revenue trends and their impact on P&L statements.
  • 3 years of experience: Using financial forecasting methods, including run rate and complex modeling, to project revenues based on factors like pricing, billing types, and market conditions.
  • 2 years of experience: Analyzing large sets of quantitative financial data from sources like PowerBI, SAP, Hyperion, and billing systems in Excel to track and report subscription revenue and performance metrics.
  • 2 years of experience: Retrieving, loading, and analyzing data using Oracle Hyperion, Smartview, and SAP.
