Camunda is looking for a Revenue Accountant to be a key contributor in keeping our revenue accounting operations running smoothly and our reporting reliable. You'll support the Order‑to‑Cash cycle, grow your practical understanding of IFRS 15, and help ensure accurate reporting of ARR, NRR, and GRR within our finance team.
What You'll Do
- Support the review of contracts, sales order creation, customer invoicing, and cash collections to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Own month-end activities, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and other controls related to Revenue.
- Provide day-to-day operational support to our Sales and Customer Success teams and assist the wider Revenue Accounting team as needed.
- Partner closely with Legal, FP&A, Deal Desk, RevOps, and the GTM Sales team to support contract review and process alignment.
- Help drive improvements in the Order-to-Cash and Revenue Recognition process by identifying automation opportunities and enhancing internal controls.
- Support the OTC cycle by resolving contract queries and assisting the Billing and Contracts specialist during busy periods.
- Partner with the Senior Revenue Accountant, our Billing and Contract Specialist, and the wider Finance team.
- Collaborate with commercial stakeholders like Sales, Revenue Operations, and Customer Success to resolve deal and invoicing questions.
- Liaise with external auditors on prepared-by-client requests and with cross-functional teams to clarify data.
- Be involved in process improvement initiatives and provide support on ad-hoc projects.
What We're Looking For
- At least 2-3 years of accounting experience in industry or corporate accounting.
- Currently studying towards the completion of an accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or similar).
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle complex financial and commercial information to a high level of accuracy.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle tasks with a high level of autonomy.
Nice to Have
- Practical experience of IFRS15 and/or ASC 606.
- Past experience in a SaaS or Software company, particularly in revenue recognition.
- Experience working in a global, multi-entity SaaS company.
- IT literacy, particularly with Excel, Netsuite (or similar), and Salesforce.
- A hands-on approach and eagerness to learn.
