Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical advisor to retreading partners during pre-installation phases and approval processes.
- Coordinate with partner contractors and suppliers to ensure timely equipment installation and production continuity.
- Provide guidance on facility requirements such as electrical systems, compressors, and transformers for proper equipment setup.
- Collaborate on preventive maintenance planning for machinery and replacement parts.
- Deliver operational, process, and maintenance training to retreading partners and their teams.
- Establish and manage quality control procedures for tire retreading processes.
- Offer technical support to end users and distribution partners for digital monitoring and telematics systems.
- Assist in setting up, demonstrating, and instructing on digital and retreading technologies.
- Research and communicate local regulatory standards for equipment installation to partners.
- Advise on optimal equipment configuration, plant layout, and installation design for efficient retreading workflows.
- Implement and train on tire tracking systems and data collection tools to support performance analysis and process improvements.
- Support partner-led training initiatives for plant staff on retreading operations.
- Instruct personnel on the correct use of tools, materials, and equipment throughout each stage of the retreading cycle, including maintenance routines.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to machinery and retreading processes.
- Ensure all equipment documentation, including spare parts lists, setup guides, and maintenance schedules, is accessible and complete.
- Assess each phase of the retreading process using the MER evaluation method.
- Test and verify equipment calibration, thermocouple performance, and final tire finishing quality.
- Install and service digital monitoring systems such as CPC, ContiConnect YRS, CPC with Telematics, and CPC Solo at customer sites.
- Lead or assist in deploying digital solutions at fleet and dealer locations.
- Conduct training sessions for customers on digital product features and usage.
- Deliver initial system setup training and recurring onboarding for customer teams, dealers, and fleet operators.
- Provide training to internal staff on the installation and technical aspects of digital offerings.
- During site visits, assess inventory levels of critical components and facilitate restocking to meet minimum thresholds.
- Perform CT2 tire analyses to gather field data for technical service and product development teams.
- Assist sales and account management teams in promoting and maintaining digital product presence in the market.
Compensation
The starting salary for this opportunity typically ranges from $75-100k depending upon experience level.
