What You'll Do
Guide small business owners through the lifecycle of their retirement plans by managing annual reporting, compliance testing, and documentation. You'll serve as a key point of contact, gathering client data, verifying submissions, and ensuring all plan requirements are met on time.
Use administration and filing software to prepare IRS Form 5500 and other government filings, while conducting year-end reconciliations for plans involving rollovers or company stock. You’ll make follow-up calls and send reminders to keep clients on track throughout the reporting cycle.
Explain plan administration details in clear, accessible terms and help clients understand their responsibilities. You’ll also support onboarding and training for new team members, sharing insights and simplifying complex retirement plan concepts.
Requirements
You must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a background check. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a detail-oriented mindset and the ability to proactively resolve issues.
You should be comfortable working independently, managing your schedule, and staying organized in a remote environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required. You must also meet at-home work standards, including a dedicated workspace and reliable internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications
An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience. Familiarity with 401(k) plan structures, ROBS arrangements, and IRS or Department of Labor regulations will support your success in this role.
