Guidant Financial is looking for a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to begin a career in 401(k) plan administration. Through accelerated training and hands-on experience, you will learn the full process of administering, testing, and reporting on client retirement plans, growing from document review to managing basic plans.
What You'll Do
- Work with clients to gather necessary information for annual plan reporting.
- Review client-submitted documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Reconcile plans involving rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administration software.
- Utilize administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting.
- Make outgoing reminder calls and send emails to clients during the annual reporting process.
- Prepare required government filings, including the IRS Form 5500, using filing software.
- Educate clients on the administration of their 401(k) plan and plan documents.
- Share knowledge and explain complex topics in simple terms.
- Train on core concepts required for a Retirement Plan Administrator I role.
- Perform other duties as required.

Nice to Have
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field (business, finance) or equivalent work experience.
- Basic knowledge of 401(k) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL Regulations.
