About the Role
This role provides guidance and administrative support for retirement plans, helping clients meet regulatory requirements and optimize plan performance through tailored solutions and consistent communication.
Responsibilities
- Deliver consultative support to retirement plan sponsors and participants
- Assist with plan setup, onboarding, and ongoing administration
- Interpret plan documents and IRS regulations to ensure compliance
- Respond to client inquiries regarding plan features and regulations
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve operational issues
- Prepare and review plan disclosures and compliance testing results
- Support annual audit and Form 5500 preparation processes
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation
- Conduct plan reviews to identify opportunities for improvement
- Educate clients on plan design and regulatory updates
- Monitor deadlines for required filings and distributions
- Facilitate communication between clients and service providers
- Troubleshoot participant account issues
- Assist with plan corrections under IRS programs
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and plan terminations
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
- Attend client meetings and present plan details
- Track case management tasks and follow-up items
- Utilize technology platforms for data management and reporting
- Support new business proposals and client renewals
- Maintain knowledge of retirement plan regulations and industry trends
- Escalate complex issues to senior staff when necessary
- Promote a client-focused service culture
- Meet performance metrics related to quality and timeliness
