The University of British Columbia is looking for a Retail Territory Manager responsible for the Saskatchewan (Regina East) sales territory. In this role, you will manage the sales, profitability, and market share of Corteva Agriscience products through retailer customers, driving both short and long-term growth.
What You'll Do
- Drive sales, market share, and business support of Corteva Agriscience products to retailer customers.
- Drive growth and profitability within the customer’s overall business.
- Promote Corteva’s new technologies and future crop protection and seed pipeline through selected retail business partners.
- Establish sound business relationships by consistently delivering professional, quality service.
- Achieve sales targets and effectively manage budgets and resources.
- Work with selected retailers to develop business plans that support the overall growth of the retail business.
- Identify and understand problems and opportunities to develop solutions that increase customer willingness to recommend Corteva products.
- Develop and implement business plans with retail accounts to drive growth and profitability.
- Work with customers to identify market opportunities and implement tactics to create demand at retail outlets.
- Assist in the development, communication, and implementation of retail programs.
- Participate in product demand planning and forecasting processes.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of products, logistics, ordering patterns, and volumes to fulfill customer requirements.
- Be alert to regulatory and environmental issues, and provide proper attention to product stewardship.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, in Agronomy, Business, or Marketing. Other degrees will be considered with related field sales experience.
- At least 5 years of sales experience managing and coaching individuals.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional approach to building customer relationships.
- Strong value selling, planning, strategy, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of the crop protection and seed business.
- Ability to analyze sales and market share data to identify market opportunities and potential solutions.
- Understanding of basic business planning and financial skills.
- Ability to work independently and cohesively in a team environment.
- Self-starter with an energetic, positive attitude.
- Strong planning, communication, and presentation skills.
- Computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Extensive rural travel is required.
