Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with all customers to develop a rapport to better help provide and recommend appropriate financial solutions
- Perform non-management open/close procedures
- Keep sales floor clean, stocked and maintains display of merchandise
- Perform sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices and regulatory requirements
- Handle all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices and regulatory requirements
- Independently receive, evaluate, lift, carry, move, and secure customer merchandise as part of pawn, buy, and retail transactions
- Answer incoming calls per company standards
- Effectively communicate to customers the legal aspects of the pawn and buy transactions
- Communicate effectively with fellow coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools
- Partner with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience and work environment
- Successfully complete assigned training
- Other related duties, as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 18 years of age (*WA ONLY: Minimum 21 years of age)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent work ethic and strong business sense
- Should be able to work in multiple locations, as needed
- Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays; based on business needs
- Computer literate and able to operate common office machines
- Ability to work with firearms as needed

- Cash handling experience

- Due to the nature of pawn transactions and customer interactions, this position requires the ability to safely lift, carry, and move customer merchandise during the normal course of business.
- Performing these functions during customer transactions that occur at unpredictable times and often require immediate assistance.
- Team assistance may not always be immediately available, and employees in this role are expected to perform essential physical functions as part of their regular duties.
- Lifting/Carrying – This position requires the ability to independently lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 70 pounds, as part of customer transactions, inventory handling, and store operations.
- Lifting requirements are continuous as they occur at unpredictable times and may require immediate assistance to customers.
- While carts or dollies may be used when available, employees must be able to safely perform required lifting tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
