Lush is looking for a Retail Construction Project Manager to lead the project management and organization of retail shop fit outs for our North American stores. You will be responsible for new construction, refits, refreshes, closures, and maintenance, managing budgets and schedules while collaborating across departments to deliver awe-inspiring retail spaces.
What You'll Do
- Lead the project management and organization of retail shop fit outs including new shop construction, refits and refreshes, closures, and store maintenance.
- Effectively manage Capex, working on estimates, verifying project actuals, and updating capex forecasts.
- Ensure project schedules are well planned and executed, collaborating with Retailers, SSP, Real Estate leasing, and finance.
- Stay informed of industry best practices of global retail construction process and project support.
- Maintain and develop project status and capex reports.
- Assist the retail team to accurately interpret construction information impacting the business.
- Provide hands on assistance and installation where necessary during new shop openings, refits, refreshes, and closures.
- Continually improve support to retail business by assessing needs and providing forward looking insight.
- Streamline reporting processes to meet needs of both external and internal users.
- Provide project-specific assistance to the Retailers, all retail store teams, Shop and Space Planning Team, Property/Leasing, and Finance.
- Maintain up to date knowledge in products, design methods and merchandising for sales.
- Partner with SSP designers to deliver awe inspiring projects.
- Deliver the best customer service experience.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of related experience in retail construction and project management including effective management of budgets focused in the US (specialty stores, shopping malls and metro streets).
- Demonstrated experience in a project lead role.
- Strong budget analysis and management skills.
- Experience in phased construction projects in newly opened and existing retail stores.
- Practical hands-on experience in the management of the design and construction process.
- Ability to develop relationships and leverage business partners to complete tasks and achieve desired outcomes.
- Ability to multitask and deal with competing priorities.
- An appreciation and understanding of retail design and in house skill set.
- Ability to assist and install company furniture (know how all components that make up a retail space are built).
- Ability to interpret all M.E.P plans, architectural plans and structural plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work hard and calmly under pressure to achieve deadlines.
- Flexibility and dedication to work extra hours as needed.
- Ability to work independently in a collaborative and creative work environment.

Nice to Have
- Demonstrated knowledge of carpentry and millwork an asset.

- PMP and LEED certifications an asset.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $90,000 - $95,000 CAD
